General information

Description of the project

The project aims to improve the energy efficiency of the medical facility, reduce electricity costs, and ensure a more stable energy supply to the hospital. The solar power plant will consist of photovoltaic panels, inverter equipment, and auxiliary systems that will convert solar energy into electricity for the hospital's needs. The generated electricity will be used to power medical equipment, lighting, and other engineering systems in the building. The implementation of the project will contribute to increasing the energy independence of the healthcare facility, reducing the load on the power system, and reducing the local budget's electricity costs. In addition, the use of renewable energy sources is an important step towards environmentally sustainable development of the community.

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The goal of the project is to increase the energy independence and reliability of the power supply of the Zinkivka City Central Hospital of the Zinkivka City Council, reduce electricity costs and introduce renewable energy sources by building a solar power plant (SPP) on the roof of the main building of the hospital. The goal is planned to be achieved by: installing photovoltaic solar panels on the roof of the building; installing inverter equipment and a system for connecting to the hospital's internal power grids; integrating the SPP into the institution's power supply system to partially cover its own electricity needs; implementing modern energy-efficient technologies and monitoring systems for electricity production. Currently, the hospital's power supply is completely dependent on the centralized power system, which leads to significant budget costs and risks of power supply interruptions related to today's realities. Installing the SPP will allow the institution to partially provide its own electricity, reduce its purchase costs and increase the stability of medical equipment, especially in conditions of possible power outages.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The main problem is the complete dependence of the Zinkivka City Central Hospital of the Zinkivka City Council on centralized electricity supply and significant costs for paying for electricity. In today's conditions of instability of the power system and rising tariffs, this creates risks for the uninterrupted operation of medical equipment, engineering systems and the provision of medical services. The urgency of the problem is due to the need to ensure stable power supply to healthcare facilities, especially in conditions of possible power outages and increased loads on the power system. If this problem is not resolved, the hospital will remain highly dependent on external sources of electricity, which may lead to interruptions in the operation of medical equipment, an increase in budget expenditures for energy resources and a decrease in the level of energy security of the facility. The implementation of the solar power plant construction project will allow the hospital to partially provide its own electricity, reduce costs for its purchase, increase the energy efficiency of the building and improve the reliability of the functioning of the medical facility.
