General information

Description of the project

The project involves the installation of a solar power plant on the territory of the sewage treatment plants of the city of Volochysk on above-ground structures. The area of the site is 3.6 hectares. The capacity of the solar power plant is 150 kW

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Introducing innovations and energy-efficient solutions

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

increasing the reliability of power supply to the critical infrastructure facility (VCVCG "Dzherelo") by reducing dependence on a single source of electricity using solar energy.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The sewage treatment plants of the city of Volochysk are on the balance sheet of the Volochysk municipal enterprise "Dzherelo", which is an enterprise of critical infrastructure and cleans return water from almost 8,000 subscribers of the population and 400 subscribers of budgetary, state and private property. Due to long power outages during martial law, this facility needs a backup power source for its uninterrupted operation. Installation of a solar power plant at the capacities of the treatment facilities, the area of which is 3.6 hectares, will ensure the annual production of electricity by a solar power plant of 127.05 thousand kWh. The implementation of the project will also allow reducing electricity consumption from the national grid, will ensure an increase in the income of the municipal enterprise, which could be directed to the development of its material and technical base due to the ability to sell surplus electricity generated by solar power plants.
