General information

Description of the project

Creation of two science classes (theoretical classrooms combined with a laboratory) in a gymnasium, namely the Boguslav Educational and Educational Association "Lyceum No. 3-Small Academy of Sciences" of the Boguslav City Council of the Kyiv region. To create a modern educational space, current repairs will be carried out, and the necessary equipment and furniture will be purchased.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards

Secondary Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards, Improving the quality of services

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The project involves the creation of two modern natural science learning spaces (a theoretical classroom combined with a laboratory) for teaching the subjects of the natural science cycle — physics and chemistry — at the Boguslav Educational and Educational Association “Lyceum No. 3 – Small Academy of Sciences” of the Boguslav City Council of the Kyiv region. The implementation of the project is aimed at forming a modern educational environment in accordance with the requirements of the “New Ukrainian School” reform, which will ensure high-quality teaching of natural sciences and the development of students’ research and practical skills. The project involves: • creation of two combined learning spaces (a theoretical classroom with a laboratory area) for teaching physics and chemistry; • carrying out current renovation of the premises, taking into account safety requirements, sanitary norms and modern standards of the educational space; • arrangement of laboratory areas for conducting demonstration and practical experiments; • purchase of modern educational and laboratory equipment, furniture, digital learning tools and demonstration materials; • creation of a comfortable, safe and functional educational environment that will promote the development of critical thinking, research activities and STEM competencies of students; • improvement of learning conditions and students' access to modern equipment. As a result of the project, two modern science classrooms (physics and chemistry) will be created, which will provide the opportunity to combine theoretical learning with practical laboratory research, which corresponds to the principles of competency-based learning and the approaches of the New Ukrainian School. The implementation of the project will contribute to improving the quality of science education, the formation of students' scientific worldview and the development of their research potential.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The existing physics and chemistry classrooms at the Boguslav Educational Association “Lyceum No. 3 – Small Academy of Sciences” of the Boguslav City Council of the Kyiv Region do not meet the modern requirements of education within the framework of the “New Ukrainian School” reform. The main problems are: • Outdated premises and furniture that do not create a comfortable and safe educational environment; • Insufficient equipment for conducting laboratory and practical classes, which limits students’ opportunities for experimental and research activities; • Lack of modern educational space that combines theoretical training with laboratory practice; • Limited interactive and digital learning tools, which complicates the implementation of modern methods of teaching natural sciences; • Inability to implement a competency-based and research approach to education, which is the basis of the National Ukrainian School. In this regard, there is a need to create two modern science classrooms (physics and chemistry) with laboratory areas equipped with modern equipment and furniture, which will ensure safe and effective learning according to new educational standards.

Project Sustainable Development Goals

Demand for the service and its dynamics

What methodology was used to estimate demand?
