General information

Description of the project

The project involves the creation of a training and practical center for innovations and technologies in construction on the basis of a vocational education institution by modernizing workshops, reconstructing premises and equipping them with modern equipment, taking into account the requirements of energy efficiency, safety and inclusiveness. The project plans to update the educational and production base for training, retraining and advanced training of personnel in the professions of bricklayer, plasterer, painter, tiler, and tiler, and to introduce innovative technologies and short-term programs. The project solves the problems of outdated material and technical base, limited access to modern construction technologies in vocational education, shortage of qualified workers in the region and insufficient integration of education with the labor market. It is also aimed at overcoming barriers to access to education for low-mobility groups and individuals in need of retraining. The expected results are the creation of a modern training and practical center, improving the quality of vocational education, increasing the number of education seekers, including from the adult population, IDPs and UBD, improving the employment of graduates, strengthening cooperation with employers, and training personnel for the needs of the reconstruction of Ukraine and the sustainable development of territorial communities of the Volyn region.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards

Secondary Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards, Rebuilding the damaged/destroyed, Improving the equality of wealth distribution, Improving the condition of infrastructure, Ensuring inclusiveness and equal opportunities, Introducing innovations and energy-efficient solutions, Improving the quality of services, Meeting demand

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The goal of the project is to create a training and practical center for innovations and technologies in construction as a modern educational space for training, retraining and advanced training of personnel in construction professions. Currently, the institution has an outdated material and technical base, limited space and insufficient access to modern technologies and materials, which does not allow to provide the proper level of practical training and fully meet the needs of employers and various categories of education seekers. The target level is to create four production workshops (bricklayers, plasterers, painters, tilers) with a total area of 466 m² as part of the training and practical center, as well as a conference room with an area of 75 m² for theoretical classes and extracurricular activities (seminars, trainings, meetings, presentations of innovations, partnership development). The premises will be equipped with innovative equipment, the latest materials and modern means for practical training, taking into account the requirements of energy efficiency, safety and inclusiveness. Achieving the goal involves the reconstruction of premises, the purchase and installation of equipment, the updating of educational programs, the implementation of short-term programs for the adult population, IDPs and UBD. As a result, more than 300 students will be able to study at the NPC every year, which will ensure an increase in the quality of training, an increase in the employment of graduates and the training of qualified personnel for the reconstruction of Ukraine and the development of territorial communities of the Volyn region.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

Currently, the training of construction education seekers is carried out on an outdated material and technical base that does not meet modern industry requirements, limits the possibilities of practical training and does not ensure the mastery of innovative technologies and materials. The implementation of the project will ensure the creation of a modern NPC with innovative equipment, modernized workshops and a safe, inclusive educational space. As a result, the quality of vocational training will be improved, the number of education seekers will increase, the employment of graduates will improve, cooperation with employers will expand and the training of qualified personnel for the needs of the reconstruction of Ukraine will be ensured.
