Description of the project
The project envisages the repair of the lock's navigation chamber, the building of the central lock control panel, auxiliary structures and mechanisms of the Sredniodniprovsk navigation lock to restore navigation and the full functioning of the lock.

Проєкт має потенціал позитивного впливу на кліматичну ситуацію в регіоні за рахунок: •зменшення викидів парникових газів шляхом відновлення річкового вантажопотоку як альтернативи автомобільному транспорту, що є більш вуглецевоємким видом перевезень; • зниження інтенсивності транспортного руху по регіональних автошляхах та, відповідно, зменшення локального рівня концентрацій СО₂, NOₓ, СО та ТЧ (тверді частки); • потенційного переходу на електрифіковані та енергоефективні системи шлюзування (електроприводи, частотне регулювання, інтелектуальні системи контролю енергоспоживання).
