General information

Description of the project

The project involves the modernization of the educational infrastructure of two secondary education institutions in the Dolyna territorial community, by creating a modern educational environment and updating the material and technical base in accordance with the principles of the New Ukrainian School and the development of natural science STEM education.

Within the framework of the project, it is planned to create two natural science laboratories, in particular in the Municipal Institution "Malovodyanska Gymnasium of the Dolyna City Council" and the Municipal Institution "Gymnasium "Mriya" of the Dolyna City Council", which will be equipped with modern laboratory equipment, demonstration materials and teaching aids for conducting practical classes in natural sciences.

In addition, the project involves the creation of a modern educational space in  Municipal institution "Lyceum "Intellect" of the Dolyna City Council", which participates in piloting specialized secondary education in an academic direction, which from 2026 will operate in accordance with the requirements of the high school reform.

Within the framework of this project, it is planned to create four modern educational laboratories and four theoretical classrooms of the natural science and mathematics cycle.

The project is aimed at creating an innovative environment that will provide high-quality specialized education, develop key competencies of students and prepare them for further study and professional activity.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards

Secondary Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards, Improving the equality of wealth distribution, Improving the quality of services

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The project goal is achieved through ongoing repairs of educational premises, the creation of modern educational spaces and the purchase of necessary educational and laboratory equipment for science classrooms and STEM laboratories in secondary education institutions of the Dolyna territorial community. Currently, a significant part of the science classrooms in educational institutions of the community does not meet modern educational standards due to the wear and tear of the premises, the absence or insufficiency of modern laboratory equipment and teaching aids, which complicates practical classes and limits the opportunities for students to receive high-quality science education. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to create two modern science laboratories (one in the Malovodyansk gymnasium and one in the Mriya gymnasium), as well as equipping a modern educational space in the pilot KS lyceum Intellect of the Dolyna city council, which will include three laboratories for natural sciences, one STEM laboratory and four theoretical classrooms. The expected result of the project will be the creation and renewal of a modern educational environment, improvement of learning conditions, expansion of students' access to modern laboratory equipment, and implementation of innovative approaches to teaching natural sciences in accordance with the principles of the New Ukrainian School.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The condition of the educational premises requires ongoing repairs and updating of the material and technical base. The available equipment, furniture and teaching aids are partially outdated or insufficient to ensure the full implementation of laboratory and practical classes in accordance with modern educational standards. The insufficient amount of laboratory equipment, digital teaching aids and the lack of specialized furniture do not allow for the full implementation of research methods of teaching, integrated teaching of natural sciences and the development of STEM education, which is an important component of the implementation of the concept of the New Ukrainian School. The implementation of the project involves the implementation of ongoing repairs of educational premises, the purchase of modern laboratory equipment and updating of furniture, which will allow the creation of modern natural science classrooms and STEM educational space. As a result, a modern educational environment will be created, learning conditions will be improved, and students' access to modern laboratory equipment will be expanded, which will contribute to the formation of students' research, practical, and digital competencies, improve the quality of science education, and implement a competency-based approach to learning in accordance with the principles of the New Ukrainian School.
