Description of the project

Repair and restoration works to restore and preserve the architectural monument of national importance, the M. Tereshchenko Palace in Andrushivka, Zhytomyr region, which houses Andrushivka Lyceum No. 1 of the Andrushivka City Council. The project solves the problems of structural wear, unsatisfactory condition of engineering networks, non-compliance with safety and functionality standards. The expected result is the restoration of the operational characteristics of the building, increasing its reliability and safety for participants in the educational process.

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

Restoration of the palace is a complex and multifaceted process, the purpose of which is to preserve, restore and return the historical, architectural and cultural value of the building. Such work requires a scientific approach, the participation of specialists from various fields and careful observance of historical authenticity. The purpose of the restoration of the palace is to restore the historical and architectural value of the building through scientifically based measures that provide for the preservation of authentic structures, the restoration of lost decorative elements and the adaptation of the building to modern use, taking into account the requirements for the preservation of cultural heritage. The restoration will make it possible to continue education for students of Andrushivskyi Lyceum No. 1, preserve the monument and create appropriate conditions for its intended use as a secondary educational institution

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The structure of the palace building (walls, roofs, foundation, load-bearing elements) is partially destroyed; the roof needs to be replaced; the foundation has settled and has cracks. To avoid further destruction, prevent collapses, and ensure the safety of students of Andrushiv Lyceum No. 1, restoration is required. The towers are an architectural accent, the loss of elements reduces the historical value and attractiveness.
