Description of the project

The project involves the implementation of major repairs to a reinforced concrete, road overpass over two railway tracks in the Pavlohrad - Pokrovsk direction, located on Dniprovska Street in Pavlohrad on the access road to the industrial zone. 

The purpose of the project

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

Goal: to ensure safe and efficient traffic for motor vehicles and pedestrians. It is planned to carry out repair work to rebuild the defective overpass to ensure the reliability and strength of the facility, which in turn will serve as a safe intersection for motor vehicles and rail transport.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

Since further operation of the overpass, due to a significant decrease in the bearing capacity of the span structures, insufficient restraining capacity of the roadway safety fences and the inoperable condition of the sidewalks, may lead to emergency consequences, the project provides for: - Closure of road traffic on the structure and sections of road approaches for the period of repair of the overpass. - Organize the passage of road traffic on a temporary bypass with the creation of the level of traffic safety provided for by the regulations. - Carry out complete disassembly of the supporting structures of the span structures, bridge deck and supports of the existing overpass. - Carry out the construction of a new overpass, designed taking into account the requirements of current regulations, and overhaul of road approaches.
