General information

Description of the project

Installing a modern fire alarm system will allow: To ensure early detection of ignition sources at the initial stage. To provide timely notification of people for organized evacuation, which is critically important for preserving life and health. To minimize material damage by ensuring a quick response by fire and rescue units. To bring the facility into full compliance with the current norms of the State Fire Code and fire safety rules of Ukraine.

The purpose of the project

Main Goal:

Improving the condition of infrastructure

Secondary Goal:

Increasing compliance with modern standards

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The need to install fire alarm systems in educational institutions is stipulated by the current legislation of Ukraine. In particular, in accordance with the requirements of the Civil Protection Code of Ukraine, owners and managers of facilities are obliged to ensure fire safety of buildings and implement technical means of early fire detection. Also, requirements for equipping buildings with fire alarm systems are established by the Fire Safety Rules in Ukraine, approved by order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine No. 1417 dated 12/30/2014. In addition, in accordance with the building codes DBN V.2.5-56:2014 “Fire protection systems”, buildings of educational institutions are objects that must be equipped with automatic fire alarm systems and fire notification systems. These requirements are mandatory when operating public buildings where a significant number of people are simultaneously present. The administration of the Zinkiv Support Lyceum named after M. K. Zerov annually receives instructions from state fire supervision bodies to eliminate violations of fire safety rules. A key requirement is the installation of an automatic fire alarm system, as the facility is classified as a facility with a large number of people. Failure to comply with these regulations not only poses a security threat, but also entails administrative liability and the risk of imposing court injunctions on the operation of the building.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

Installation and regular maintenance of an automatic fire alarm system in a lyceum is not just an expense item, but a strategically justified step. This is an investment in the guaranteed safety of each child, the protection of valuable community assets and the implementation of state safety standards. Without this system, the educational space cannot be considered properly protected and suitable for a large number of people. The project provides for the following general construction works: installation of a control device; laying of fire alarm and warning system networks; installation of alarms; installation of loudspeakers.
