General information

Description of the project

Creating a modern, inclusive educational and cultural space, accessible to all categories of visitors, including children and adults with disabilities, by completely modernizing the entrance group and the adjacent territory in accordance with the norms of DBN V.2.2-40:2018. The implementation of the project will ensure equal access to art education for children with special needs and will allow the school to become a full-fledged center of cultural life of the community, open to every resident of Slavutych.

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

Ensuring the constitutional right to equal access to art education and cultural development for all children and adults, regardless of their physical abilities. The project involves the full adaptation of the entrance group, the adjacent territory and the interior of the second building of the school to the needs of low-mobility population groups (MGN) in accordance with DBN V.2.2-40:2018 “Inclusivity of buildings and structures”. Social inclusion: Creating conditions under which children with disabilities will be able to visit the institution independently or with minimal accompaniment, which will contribute to their socialization and creative realization. Visitor safety: Minimizing the risk of injury to students, teachers and visitors (including the elderly and parents with wheelchairs) by eliminating slippery surfaces, installing handrails and proper lighting. Infrastructure modernization: Updating outdated architectural elements of the Soviet period, bringing the aesthetics of the entrance group to modern standards of the urban environment of Slavutych.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The project includes: installation of tactile internal and external navigation; installation of a lift on the porch and a lift in the hall on the first floor for access to the second floor of the building; installation of a universal toilet cabin for people with reduced mobility and installation of a 3-stall toilet for school students; installation of an entrance porch adapted for people with disabilities and people with reduced mobility; replacement of doors; installation of paving slabs; repair and finishing works.
