General information

Description of the project

Velikooleksandrivsky Lyceum of the Velikooleksandrivsky Village Council (formerly Velikooleksandrivsky Secondary School of I-III Degrees No. 2). The capacity of the institution is 960 students. The premises are 3-storey, the total area is 4,563.2 m2. The height of the floor is 3,300 m. The institution includes the main building - an educational building, a dining room and a sports hall, and a workshop building, which is located on the territory where the workshop, library, and classrooms are located. To date, 611 students are covered by education. Children from three settlements are covered by education. from March 10, 2022 to October 4, 2022, the institution was under occupation, damaged as a result of artillery shelling. As of November-December 2025, the following work was carried out at the institution:  heating was updated, electricity was restored, general construction work (replaced the floor slabs above the sports hall, replaced the roof above the sports hall, bricked the parapets and holes in the walls after the destruction, reinforced five floor slabs between the first and second floors, one slab between the second and third floors, installed a heating system, equipped the heating system with GKL boxes, installed window sills in the classrooms after the destruction, finished finishing work on the floor, walls and ceiling in the classrooms, corridors, installed a low-current network, laid wires, installed switches, sockets and lamps) Condition of material and technical support: requires restoration, in accordance with the requirements of "NUSH" and the purchase of new technological and technical means of education. The provision of education with gadgets for distance learning is 100%. Teachers are 100% provided with technical means of education. Staffing: 100% of the need. Subjects are taught by specialists according to their specialty. On the territory of the Velikooleksandrivsky Lyceum, the construction of a VIESSMANN VITOMODUL 2000 O-O block-modular boiler house with a thermal capacity of 1 MW has been completed. As part of the project "Strengthening the Resilience of Cities in the Sphere of Life Support of Urban Territorial Communities in Ukraine", which will guarantee compliance with the thermal regime in the educational institution and its shelter. In 2026, it is planned to attract state subvention funds for the implementation of the project "Reconstruction of the Workshop Building to Create a "Support Kitchen". A civil defense shelter for 720 people is being built on the territory of the Lyceum with additional subsidies from the state budget.

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The purpose of the public investment project is to create a safe, inclusive and modern educational space by carrying out a major renovation of the lyceum building. The main emphasis is on ensuring equal access to education for all participants in the educational process, including persons with disabilities and other low-mobility groups. The project involves the implementation of a complex of construction and repair works, including: updating the structural elements of the building (roof, facades, windows, floor, walls); insulation of the building to increase energy efficiency; re-equipment of the water supply and sewage system; installation of ramps, elevators or other means of accessibility for persons with disabilities; modernization of sanitary and hygienic premises taking into account the needs of different user groups; creation of barrier-free internal space, recreation areas and recreational areas; ensuring compliance of the educational environment with the current state building standards (DBN) and the standards of the New Ukrainian School (NUS). Thus, the project closes the gap between the existing unsatisfactory technical condition of the building and the target level - a modern inclusive educational infrastructure that meets all safety, accessibility, and quality requirements.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

The main problems are unsafe living conditions, high energy costs, lack of inclusiveness, and inability to use facilities effectively. Solving them will ensure a safe, accessible, and modern educational environment, reduce operating costs, and expand access to quality education.
