Description of the project
It should be noted the special approach of the authors, who, in accordance with monument protection legislation and state building codes, did not limit themselves to the simple restoration of the facades and roof. It consisted not only in the restoration of the structural parts of the existing building, but also in the restoration of individual lost architecturally significant elements, protection of the monument from negative atmospheric influences, improvement of the conditions of its use, creation of a safe environment, including safety of public and traffic.
In particular, the Restoration Project provides for the reproduction of the attic with the coat of arms of the city of Volodymyr above the risalit of the main entrance, as well as the restoration (according to archival materials) of the lost balcony on the courtyard facade of the building.
With the construction of a new roof, which by design will be closest to the authentic appearance of the building, facing the basement, installation of an improved blind areas, will increase its protection from precipitation. With the installation of skylights, the appropriate regulatory conditions for the operation of the attic will be created.
Another expedient proposal of the project is to separate the carriageway of the streets FROM the sidewalk and the exit from the school by installing a railing, which provides a safe environment for its students.
Quite interesting and functionally attractive is the proposal to create (in the future), near the northern wing of the building, a summer amphitheater-stage for promoting musical creativity among the population, holding children's creative reports, and outdoor concerts.
Thus, this Restoration Project, the implementation of which will significantly improve the quality of the urban environment, the historical area of the city of Volodymyr, as a whole, and will become another as a model of its revaluation. It is this approach that is currently dominant for the historical inhabited cities of Ukraine.
