General information

Description of the project

The project involves major repairs of the fire alarm system in the premises of Lyceum No. 2 of the Drohobych City Council, Lviv region, located at: 17 Kozlovsky St., Drohobych. The lyceum building is a facility with a large number of people - 1,028 students study here every day and 90 teachers, as well as 18 technical and service personnel, work here. The fire alarm system, installed many years ago, is morally and technically outdated and does not meet modern fire safety requirements. The project involves installing a modern fire protection system, which includes: updating or replacing fire detectors, detectors, cable lines and control panels; integrating the system with a centralized fire monitoring station; carrying out commissioning work and checking the system's operability.

Description of the purpose of the project and ways to achieve it

The purpose of the project is to ensure an adequate level of fire safety in Lyceum No. 2 of the Drohobych City Council of the Lviv region by modernizing the fire-fighting infrastructure. The main objectives are: • creating safe conditions for students, teaching staff and visitors to the institution; • preventing fire-related emergencies; • bringing the facility into compliance with current fire safety regulations and state standards; • increasing the institution's level of preparedness for action in the event of a fire. The implementation of the project will contribute to the preservation of the life and health of children and employees, as well as increase the overall safety of the educational process.

Problems and solutions resulting from project implementation

Main problems: absence or obsolescence of the fire alarm system; untimely detection of signs of fire; lack of an effective sound and voice alarm system; lack of automatic transmission of the alarm signal to the fire and rescue services; risk of delay in evacuation due to insufficient information; lack of constant monitoring of the operability of fire safety systems.
