General information
Description of the project
The project envisages the complete dismantling of the existing underground storage facility (in an emergency state) within 12 months and the construction of a new underground storage facility with a reading room superstructure above it (2 buildings of the 1st stage of construction), in particular: an underground archive storage facility with an area of 354.43 sq.m. for 142 thousand storage units, an archive storage facility with an area of 324.95 sq.m. for 130 thousand storage units, a reading room with an area of 65.17 sq.m., 11 memorial rooms-museums with a total area of 347.44 sq.m. and other office premises.
The newly built modern underground archival storage will be used to house the collection of the Central State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art of Ukraine, to ensure the preservation of documents of the National Archival Fund, and, in particular, to house evacuated archival documents from places of active hostilities, and will also contain reading rooms and memorial rooms adapted to the needs of low-mobility population groups.
