The Nosivka Municipal Territorial Community was established in 2016. The settlement was first mentioned as Nosiv on Ruda in 1147 in the «Ipatiev Chronicle». Letter the settlement become known as Nosivka. From 1923 to 2020,Nosivka was a center of Nosivka District in Chernihiv Region. After decentralization in 2021 it became a part of Nizhyn District. The administrative center of the community is the town of Nosivka, which has an extremely convenient geographical location, situated 124 km from the capital (Kyiv), 101 km from the regional center (Chernihiv), and 32 km from the district center (Nizhyn). The community territory is crossed by a railway line connecting Kyiv and the major junction center Nizhyn. Nosivka railway station is 1.5 hours away from Kyiv-Pasazhyrsky station, with available municipal land plots nearby. The community is located in the forest-steppe zone, with predominantly black soil in flat terrain. Currently, the community includes the town of Nosivka and 20 villages. The territory of the community covers 580.94 km2 (58.1 thousand ha), The population 20535 people, 68% of whom reside in urban areas and 32% in rural areas. The proportion of working-age individuals is 49.0%. The female population constitutes 54.5%, while the male population is 45.5%. Children and adolescents make up 16% of the population structure of the community. Agricultural land occupies 66% of the total area of the community (or 33.7 thousand hectares), while forests make up 17% of the community's land. The community is rich in local mineral resources (sandstones, clay, peat deposits), forests, and water resources (the Oster, Nosivochka, and Novyi Potik rivers flow through. it). The key sector of the territorial community's economy is the agricultural sector, which includes grain drying facilities. The community is also home to the Nosivka Selective Research Station of the Mironivka Wheat Institute named after V.M. Remeslo of the Ukraine National Academy of Agrarian Sciences, which conducts selective activities for agricultural crops. The research station was founded in 1911 and has selected over 80 varieties of agricultural crops. There are significant industrial beekeeping volumes in the community. About 30 beekeepers, maintaining from 50 to 150 bee colonies each, have joined the Public Association "Beekeepers Union of Nosivshchyna", aimed at promoting beekeeping products and adopting new beekeeping technologies. There are 86 hectares of free investment-attractive industrial lands in the community, as well as available areas for the development of berry cultivation and horticulture. The city council is interested in and ready to facilitate the creation of industrial enterprises, which will contribute to both the community's budget and its development, as well as the creation of new jobs for the residents of the municipal territorial community.
