Modernization of existing sewage treatment facilities for domestic wastewater in the city of Khmelnytskyi
The construction object is the sewage treatment plant KOS-2 of the municipal utility company "Khmelnytskvodokanal", which is intended for the complete treatment of a mixture of domestic and industrial wastewater of the city of Khmelnytskyi, located at 135 Vinnytske Shose St., Khmelnytskyi. The design capacity of the treatment plant is 60,000 m3/day. The project meets modern requirements for the feasibility of implementing all stages of sludge treatment and dewatering, the treatment plant will provide the appropriate level of technological equipment, equipment, electrical and technical equipment and will ensure compliance with current Ukrainian norms and environmental standards. The complex of actions and decisions when implementing engineering protection of facilities ensures: general stability of the designated area; safe production activities; reliable and uninterrupted functioning and development of facilities, as well as recreation areas; preservation of protected areas, landscapes, historical monuments, etc.; regulatory sanitary-hygienic, social and recreational conditions of the territories being protected; proper architectural design of engineering protection structures; economically justified rational use of land and natural resources, facilities in compliance with legislative requirements for environmental protection. Designing engineering protection of facilities is a complex that includes a set of basic and auxiliary means with the least negative impact on the environment. It is planned to implement new fine mechanical treatment facilities and implement ICEAS-SBR biological treatment technology, which ensures improved cleaning quality in relation to existing facilities and simultaneously increase the reliability of their operation. It is also planned to implement an advanced process for complete wastewater disinfection and create a system for thickening and dewatering sludge for further disposal, which will allow achieving consistently high quality of operation of treatment facilities.
