Application of solar energy to increase the reliability of the water supply and wastewater systems of the city of Sambir (construction of a solar power plant at stations I and II of the Sambir VUVKG lift) Installing a solar power plant at only one lift station or with a lower capacity.
Replacing equipment and pumps with energy-efficient ones without installing a solar power plant
The project involves the construction of an industrial solar power plant at stations I and II of the Sambirsk VUVKG lift to ensure partial or full coverage of the electricity consumption of pumping stations and technological sites of the enterprise. The main goal is to increase energy independence and stability of the critical water supply and wastewater infrastructure, reduce the risks of water supply interruptions and optimize electricity costs. The solar power plant will ensure stable energy supply to pumping units during peak loads and emergencies, reduce electricity costs and reduce CO₂ emissions, which is in line with the goals of sustainable development and the climate obligations of the community. The project involves integrating the solar power plant with the existing dispatching and energy management system of the enterprise, which allows for automatic regulation of the operation of pumps depending on the solar energy generated. Installing solar power plants at two lifting stations ensures scalability and redundancy of the generated energy, which increases the reliability of water supply and wastewater disposal for the entire city. Thanks to an integrated approach, including connection to the grid and a monitoring system, the enterprise receives long-term cost savings, reduced environmental impact, and strengthened energy security of the community.
