Conservation and temporary closure of the facility
The project involves carrying out comprehensive repair and restoration works on the Town Hall building in the city of Sambor, which is an architectural monument of national importance of the 17th-19th centuries (protected No. 399) and has important historical, cultural and administrative value for the community. The goal of the solution is to preserve the authentic appearance of the historical building, ensure its structural stability, functional restoration and create safe operating conditions. The following main activities are planned: restoration and repair work of facades and decorative elements, including cleaning, restoration of plaster, stucco, stone and metal parts; repair of the roof and clock tower, replacement of damaged roof elements using authentic materials; strengthening of load-bearing structures of walls, ceilings and foundations using technologies compatible with the historical fabric of the building; restoration of interiors, including historical joinery, windows, doors, decorative finishes and floors; renewal of engineering networks (electricity, heating, water supply, drainage) without violating architectural authenticity; installation of a drainage system and waterproofing of foundations to prevent further destruction of walls and basements; ensuring barrier-free access for visitors and employees (equipment of a ramp, convenient entrances, sanitary facilities); restoration of the tower clock mechanism and restoration of the observation balcony.
