With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation and its brutal armed aggression on the territory of Ukraine, Khorolsk urban territorial community faced new challenges and tasks, one of such tasks became a priority - to take care of storage facilities and shelters for the most important objects of social infrastructure of Khorolsk community, and the first such was (remains until now) the shelter of the Khorolsk City Hospital, the only hospital in the community that provides medical care to 31,622 of its residents, 3,656 IDPs, as well as residents of neighboring communities. After all, even during the air alarm signal, medical assistance to patients must be provided! In general, a room for shelter was provided during the construction of the hospital, but it remained in a state of incomplete work. The shelter of patients and staff is calculated for a continuous stay in the protective structure of civil protection, the estimated number of people, for 2 days. The shelter area is 909.8 square meters. The total potential capacity of the proposed civil protection structure is 313 people (including 130 patients, 183 staff).

З початком повномаштабного вторгнення рф та її жорстокої збройної агресії на території України перед Хорольською міською територіальною громадою постали нові виклики та завдання, одним з таких завдань стало першочергове- подбати про сховища та укриття для найбільш важливих обєктів соціальної інфрастуктури Хорольської громади, і найпершим таким було і (залишається дотепер) укриття КНП "Хорольська міська лікарня", єдиної лікарні в громаді, яка надає медичну допомогу 31622&nbsp; її жителям, 3656 ВПО, а також жителям сусідніх громад.&nbsp; Адже, навіть під час чигналу повітряної тривоги медична допомога пацієнтам повинна надаватися!
Загалом приміщення для укриття було передбачене ще під час будівництва лікарні, але так і залишилося у стані недовиконаних робіт.
Укриття пацієнтів та персоналу розраховується на безпереревне перебування в захисній споруді цивільного захисту, розрахункової кількості осіб, протягом 2 діб. Площа укриття&nbsp; - 909, 8 кв.м. Загальна потенційна потужність запропонованої захисної споруди цивільного захисту складає 313 осіб (з них 130 пацієнтів, 183 чоловік персоналу).&nbsp;
