The project envisages the implementation of sub-projects on the development of urban passenger transport in the cities of Ukraine, aimed at the development of ecologically clean and socially significant transport, which includes measures to update the fleet of trams, trolleybuses, metro cars, the purchase of electric buses, and the restoration of the existing infrastructure.

Sphere development strategiesThe section "Innovative development of the transport industry and global investment projects" of the National Transport Strategy of Ukraine for the period until 2030, approved by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 430 of May 30, 2018, provides for the provision of comprehensive innovative development of transport, in particular, the implementation of investment projects for the renewal of rolling stock urban transport with a predominant transition to electric transport. In addition, the section "Safe for society, ecologically clean and energy-efficient transport" of the specified strategy envisages an increase in the share of electric transport and electric cars, in particular, increasing the share of electric transport in domestic traffic to 75 percent in 2030.
