Problems
Current status, description of problems and needs for their solution
The project is aimed at creating a comprehensive process of restoration and modernization of the post-war development of Boryspil International Airport, taking into account the impact of the ongoing Russian invasion, which will contribute to the rapid and sustainable reconstruction of the largest air transport gateway to the capital of Ukraine. Limitations related to the implementation of the Project are related to the risks caused by the war, namely - delays in financing, supplies, price increases, lack of qualified personnel, destruction of infrastructure. Aviation transport is one of the most important branches of the national economy, the effective functioning of which is a necessary condition for stabilization, structural transformations, development of the economy and conducting foreign trade activities, meeting the needs of the population and social production in transportation, ensuring the protection of the economic interests of Ukraine. Bringing the air transport infrastructure in line with international requirements is an important component of the state's strategy aimed at ensuring the competitiveness of the Ukrainian economy
A detailed description of the project goal and the way to achieve it
The expansion of the terminal complex (its central part – the processor) will provide the necessary additional capacity of terminal D approximately up to +2000 passengers per hour "for arrivals" and +2000 passengers per hour "for departures" - up to 5000 passengers per hour
The main goal of the reconstruction is to increase the capacity of the existing baggage handling system by +2,400 pieces of baggage/hour for both "arrival" and "departure".

Operational risk of performing work in the conditions of an active airport Construction work in an active airport by its nature disrupts normal work and creates security threats. This could lead to delays, flight cancellations and disruptions for passengers, airlines and other airport users. There is also an increased risk of accidents or injuries to workers and airport staff.
